Using the app
How do I add a field?
Open the Fields tab and tap Add field. Search for a place, use your current location, or drop a pin on the map. Then choose what grows or lives there: crops, animals or beehives. Alerts for that field start straight away.
Why am I not getting an alert?
- Alerts appear only when the forecast shows weather that matters for what is in that field. A quiet week means no alerts.
- Check that the field has the right crop, animal or hive selected, and that its alerts are not switched off.
- Farm Alert works from forecasts and refreshes when you open the app. It is not a real-time alarm.
- For reminders, allow notifications for Farm Alert in your phone's settings, and choose your reminders in Settings.
Why is the forecast missing or empty?
The forecast needs an internet connection. If a field shows dashes, open the app again when you are connected.
Can I change units and language?
Yes. Settings has temperature (°C or °F), rain (mm or inches), wind (km/h, mph, m/s or knots) and time format. Farm Alert is available in English, Spanish, Portuguese (Brazil), French, Hindi, Indonesian, Turkish, Arabic and Macedonian.
Free and Pro
What does the free plan include?
One field with all of its alerts. Farm Alert Pro adds unlimited fields and your own alerts (My alerts).
How do I subscribe?
Open Settings › Farm Alert Pro and choose monthly or yearly. Payment is handled by Apple (or Google on Android); we never see your payment details.
I subscribed but Pro did not unlock
Open Settings › Farm Alert Pro and tap Restore purchases. Make sure you are signed in with the same Apple Account (or Google account) that bought it. If it still does not unlock, contact us as above.
How do I cancel?
- iPhone and iPad: open the Settings app › your name › Subscriptions › Farm Alert Pro › Cancel Subscription. You can also tap Manage subscription inside Farm Alert Pro.
- Android: open the Play Store › your profile › Payments and subscriptions › Subscriptions › Farm Alert Pro › Cancel.
You keep Pro until the end of the period you have paid for. Cancelling stops the next renewal.
What happens to my fields if Pro ends?
Nothing is deleted. One field stays active, and the others are paused and shown greyed out. In the app, choose Choose which to pick the active one. When you subscribe again, all your fields come back.
Refunds
Apple and Google handle refunds. On iPhone, go to reportaproblem.apple.com. On Android, use the Play Store's order history.
Your information
Where is my data?
Your fields, alerts and settings are stored only on your phone. We have no accounts and no servers that hold them. Read the Privacy Policy for what leaves your phone (field coordinates and place searches go to the weather service, Open-Meteo).
How do I delete my data?
Delete the app. Everything it stores goes with it. To delete a single field, open it in the Fields tab and choose Delete.
About our advice
Farm Alert gives general guidance from weather forecasts and published research. Forecasts can be wrong, and your conditions, crop variety and local practice may differ. It is not professional agronomic, veterinary or emergency advice. Use your own judgement and follow your local authorities in an emergency.
